This project redefined how one of the world’s oldest knife brands connects with contemporary audiences, transforming craftsmanship into experience and reinvigorating brand heritage through design. Presented at Casa Decor 2025, the installation marked a strategic evolution for Arcos, using spatial storytelling to reveal the emotional rituals behind everyday tools.
Source
Arcos sought a statement space that distilled over 290 years of tradition into a powerful, sensorial brand experience. The challenge was to move beyond functional display and craft a poetic installation where the simple act of cutting becomes a metaphor for care, intention and emotion.
Strategy
As part of the design team at CuldeSac, we reimagined cutting not as utility but as ritual. The space became a sculptural, immersive environment where atmosphere, reflection and materiality brought the brand’s values to life. Forms and surfaces echoed the gesture of a blade in motion and created a space that felt compelling, contemporary and timeless.
Solution
Fluid curves and mirrored forms created a circular path through layered light, acoustics and textures. The experience expressed Arcos’s values - precision, care and heritage - without relying on overt branding, allowing emotion and atmosphere to speak for the brand.
Success
Reaching over 40,000 visitors, the installation repositioned Arcos as a cultural brand rooted in design and emotion. It introduced Arcos to new audiences beyond kitchenware, reinforced its legacy through symbolic space and proved how immersive environments can build deeper human connection with product and brand.
